Are You Ready for Some Football??

Personally, I am NEVER ready for this sport!!

But, it started, just this past Friday!

We WON!

It was a BIG win, we haven't been able to get the "W" from this team in years!

Taylor played his heart out, and mother could have had a heart attack!

Here is a picture of the captains from our local newspaper

Taylor is at the bottom, #32

And here is one of him in action

According to his dad,

he should have his head turned the OTHER way...

Good grief, there is a perfect way to tackle??

Look at his poor teammate! Seriously folks, this is fun???

Nota Bene

Pronunciation: nō-tə-ˈbē-nē
Latin and Italian phrase meaning "note well". Instructing one individual to note well the matter at hand. It is used to draw the attention of the reader to a certain (side)aspect or detail. Translating as "pay attention" or "take notice". It is often written in the abbreviated form: N.B.

A bride came to me and wanted some escort tags along with a journaling area. She loved this tags and wanted to incorporate them for her wedding.

We discussed the ideas and she threw out, Nota Bene! I really wasn't sure what it meant, but Googled it and Viola. It was perfect! So we changed the tags to different colors, made up unique larger tags with the definition and instructions on....and this is how the tags looked (all 200 of them). I loved them and my bride to be did as well.

And here are the signs!

I loved the typewriter font, and all the chalking, they all looked so vintage!

I can't wait to see pictures of her wedding!

This bride is very organized, her wedding is 10-10-10!

Walk A Mile in Her Shoes

Interesting statement, isn't it? Especially when it refers to this:

Walk a Mile in her Shoes: An International Men's March to End Rape, Sexual Assault, and Gender Violence ®

This morning, our city held it's 2nd annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

My son joined a team of friends and walked...a mile in woman's shoes.
He was lucky; he couldn't find a pair of shoes with heels that fit!

They had so much fun doing this and supporting such a wonderful cause!

SURPRISE

Definition:
1. The act of surprising or the condition of being surprised. 2. Something, such as an unexpected encounter, event, or gift, that surprises.

Well, talk about an UNEXPECTED encounter, gift that surprises!

The other day, I wake up, and went through my usual morning routine. Dig in the fridge for the coffee, while filling the pot full of water, I glance out my window at my garden to see if there are any new flowers blooming somewhere in the mix of hostas, hydrangeas, Black-Eyed Susans, Johnny Jump-Ups, various Sedums, Hollyhocks, Daylilies and so much more.....

Look what I found!! This old bike sitting in my garden!!!

David had been traveling the countryside for work, he loves to take the "road less traveled". He generally will find some great antique shops, wonderful ma & pa food joints and some fantastic junk stores!! He found this bike and KNEW how much I have wanted one for in the garden for years!

So the man of many words, got home in the evening and put it in the garden without me knowing! I was just SHOCKED to see it the next moring! He NEVER said a word to me all night!! How sticking cute is it???
Best part....it was only $10!
