Where O' Where Have I Been????

Good question! July flew by just as fast as can be. I can't really say what we did or didn't do this month, a little baseball, dance camp, a little more baseball, working, sweating in the July hot weather......

I have been trying to stay busy with my tag making and some stitching. I can show ya some of my latest tags.....am loving these new primitive Halloween tags, I have another set using these fun stamps that I will post tomorrow, they are on my camera, but someone stole by batteries for their xbox controller!!!

And how about these????

I love the vintage look these have, they are perfect for any travel journal or scrapbook page!! So fun!

I have some fun pillows that I will be adding to Etsy soon, so you will get a sneek preview on them!! Leave your comments and I will do a drawing for a fun tag set!

I suppose, I need to hit the hay.....until next time! And don't forget the DRAWING!!

The weeks truly are flying by!! I can't believe we are past mid June!! It has been close to insane around here, running every direction, sometimes I wonder how Taylor knows which type of ball to grab, baseball, basketball or football!!!

I finally finished up this simple set of tags and got pictures of them AND put them in my http://www.amyliz.etsy.com/ Shop!!

And these.......

And if you are looking for something NEW for Americana:

So I have been trying to be busy....have some really fun ideas floating around, lets hope I can get them out before too long!

Spondylolysis, Lumbosacral

Wow about those words?? This is what Emily's condition is/was called. In regular terms, Emily has a small stress crack in the L5 level of her vertebre. She was diagnosised back in April and has been wearing a molded plastic-like brace for the past 7 weeks. Yesterday, we made the trek back to Abbott Northwestern Piper Building to the Twin Cities Spine Center.

It was really strange, my husband's stepdad had an appointmen at the Heart Hospital at Abbott at the same time. We were only a few floors and a few corners away from each other!

Emily was told she could start to wean from the brace and get into PT sessions and life should be back to normal!! She is hoping she can get her stamina back and be on the school dance team again this coming year!

After we did the hospital thing, we landed here:

This could possibly be my all time favorite store!!

Now that I have Emily on the mend, I have to take Sadie to the vet, she has the annoying habit of licking her front paws until they are almost raw. I am not sure what they will do for her, but there seems to be a problem and I guess I have to find out what it is!

Just got back from the vet---allergies!! It is always something! Had to get meds for her too! UGH!

The Boys of Summer

It begins today, the first day of summer vacation AND BASEBALL!! This morning was the first practice for VFW!! This team will play through the middle of July.....don't worry, I will give you plenty of updates! This morning, they finished the practice off with 'field maintenance'!! The one in the orange shorts is mine, notice how he stands there and watches the 5 year old rake!! Gotta love teenagers!

The little guy belongs to one of the coaches!!

Sorry about all the fencing, there just isn't a good place to take a picture at this field!!

Here is a better picture of my almost 16 year old son (who gives me my gray hair), this was taken after his 9th grade season. I suppose he is chewing on sunflower seeds! Is there anything else to chew on at a baseball game??

I am working on some new things for my Etsy site and Ebay, have you seen my America Star Banner on Ebay? If you love Americana, you must take a peek:

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I think we are playing B's baseball (that would be the other team Taylor plays on) and then rush back for a spaghetti dinner at the local VFW!!

In the name of baseball......Amy

Everyone Else does it....

I guess I need to too!! Blog, that is!! I have been snooping around the world wide web seeking out all the blogs I can, they are soooo addicting to read. Why? I have no idea! Some just chatter about their days, some chatter about their jobs....and the pictures, I love, love a good picture!! And EVERYONE seems to have 15 years of photography classes under their belts!!Okay, let me bore you with my details, perhaps someone will find it all interesting! I live almost smack dab in the center of Minnesota, north/south-east/west! A large tourist area. It gets pretty crazy around here for the next few months. I have had a small cottage business for YEARS!! A Main Collection http://www.amaincollection.com/! I have done so much sewing and stitching and whatevers all my life. I have always enjoyed creating in some sort of form. I am married to one of the most supportive husbands, he always lets me fly by the seat of my pants!! We have 2 teenagers (yep, that is where the bits and pieces of gray hair come from) and one little super darling dog, Sadie!! She is my baby and most of the time that is what I call her!!

I told you she was cute!!!

Okay, back to me.....I am 42 years old and continue to have fun playing with scissors, paper, fabric, ribbons, buttons, you name it! My addiction for scrapbooking and paperplay took me on a new course, a part-time job outside of the home!! I work at the local scrapbooking store. I love getting my hands on the new stuff that comes in.
Here is one of the things I made with Cosmo Cricket's Lacing Cards and Basic Grey's paper:

This is Emily, we call her "Em", at four stages of her life. I started getting sentimental, she just finished her junior year TODAY. I now have to say she is a SENIOR. That is hard to do!!Summer vacation starts tonight for my kids, they will be running me ragged, 2 baseball teams, football camps, basketball camps, basketball summer league, dance camp, and dance practices....ugh! I hear several teenage boys (now Sophomores) coming through my doors as I type.....Well, I think this is a good start for my blog.....or is it not??
